"Natural Design" • Medium: 668 individual pieces of hand cut archival paper • Dimensions: 26 x 35in • 2006

The Design Collection consists of seven large abstract color compositions which are made up of seventy individual 8.5x11 works and 4,493 individual pieces of hand cut paper. The only tools used were an ordinary pair of scissors, archival paper, and a glue stick. All these designs went straight from thought to cut. None of these were drawn out at all or pre-planned. No pencil or pens where used to sketch at all. It started with one tiny piece building on the next and then one page building on the previous one. Took about 4 Months to complete the collection.

It has been a very busy year and I have finally gotten the BRAND SPANKING NEW MarcPaperScissor Website up and running with new art & blog spot. I have added brand new items to the MarcPaperScissor Shop and also have just finished the first MarcPaperScissor Animation in collaboration with C3 Motion Graphics and look foward to working on more animation projects in the very near future. Also, this March issue of Wemerge Magazine has graciously picked me as their front cover artist and feature article. So pick one up or read it online. When it rains it pours. UPCOMING SHOWS: PAPER CUT ART SHOW / April 9th / 2pm-11pm at The Harold Golen Gallery in Miami’s Wynward Arts Districts for their monthly art walk. The MPS Traveling Gallery will be posted up at this years SUNFEST 2011 / April 27th – May 1st, so don’t forget to stop by and say hello.

We decided to turned the logo I created for The Big & Hearty Music Festival

into a Big & Hearty picture opportunity. It took three days of non stop painting.

This is the first MarcPaperScissor Animation in collaboration with C3 Motion Graphics. I worked with the very talented Animator John Conway & Coreographer Shauna Cheung to put this one togther. Keep on the look out for the sequel & the making of video.

MarcPaperScissor Brand New Site: New Beginnings
Welcome this is my first post on the brand spanking new MarcPaperScissor Website! I started back in 2004 with cut paper art and have come along way with it, but this is only the beginning. I have many plans and projects for the future and hope to do some cool things, in some great place, with awesome people. This blog will be the place to see it all.
