Hello, I am a South Florida artist and musician specializing in visual communication & graphic design. I work in many mediums and continue to experiment, but I am best known for my work with CUT PAPER. This has become my preferred form of artistic expression, hence the name “MarcPaperScissor”. The only tools I use include a variety of color cardstock paper, regular scissors (no-exacto knives), glue stick, a black sharpie and my imagination.

I begin by designing, cutting and assembling a variety of shapes from the vibrant colors I use. Each shape is hand-cut with regular scissors. My process is meticulous and one that tests my patience, concentration and persistence.Every single piece of paper that is left over is saved to be used for later works. In this way the cast-offs from one composition can jump into a whole new picture, also to avoid wasting paper. A finished piece can often take a few weeks to a couple of months to be completed. My work is comprised of both conceptual and abstract art. The Chinese letters you will find on the art is my signature.

My artwork has been exhibited in galleries, music festivals and many different venues, as well as used for album art, show posters, murals, T-shirts, and charitable auctions. Some of the themes I touch upon in my work include the environment, the mind, perception, our senses, politics, nature, cultures, science, technology, sex, space, music, and all the amazing things and thoughts, which make up our universe and beyond.
